Using short film clips can be a great way to start a discussion or begin / cap a lesson. You Tube is fertile ground for some videos. One instructional consideration though is showing them directly off of the You Tube page. Sometimes the corresponding videos on the side are less than desirable.
One way to solve the dilemma is to convert a web based video into a mov file that you can show through quicktime or embed in a keynote presentation. A simple site for converting files is zamzar.com. Simply past the URL leave your email and within a short period of time you'll have the converted file in your inbox. It's simple and easy. The benefit is you have the video forever as well.

Charlie...this is fantastic advice for classroom teachers. In the Tech Apps. class Mrs. Brown, Mme. Rodolfi, & I direct our students to use Zamzar when we teach iMovie. Judi Sherman has used it in teaching about the Last Supper this year.
Zamzar+iMovie=a taylor-made video for your purposes. I would like to invite any teachers interested in learning iMovie basics to attend the next in-service technology session on March 16.
I just used zamzar to convert a song from youtube to an mp3 file and saved it in itunes for use later in a keynote presentation. Great website
